Miami Heat vs Portland Trail Blazers Preview

The Miami Heat have a 19-17 record as they travel to face the Portland Trail Blazers, who have a 13-24 record. While the Heat are sixth in the East, the Trail Blazers are 13th in the West.

Both teams have two wins in their last five games. Miami is on a two-game winning streak after victories against the Utah Jazz and the Golden State Warriors. Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers lost to the Dallas Mavericks in their last game.

Portland, though, will be optimistic as they return to the Moda Center for the first time this year. It plays five back-to-back games at home after five on the road

The Heat have two players out - Josh Richardson and Dru Smith. Jimmy Butler will be out, as he looks to leave Florida for newer pastures before the trade deadline. Portland, meanwhile, will have three players out, with Matisse Thybulle and Jerami Grant ruled out, while DeAndre Ayton is listed as questionable.

Miami Heat vs Portland Trail Blazers Betting Tips

With Jimmy Butler's imminent exit, Miami's performances have taken a hit. Tyler Herro has taken the opportunity to cement himself as Miami's next star and should score above 20.5 points. The guard is averaging 23.6 points this season and had 23 points in his last game.

The Trail Blazers, meanwhile, are without DeAndre Ayton, and his absence has given an opportunity to 20-year-old Donovan Clingan. The youngster had 11 rebounds in his last game and should have a successful outing.

Miami Heat vs Portland Trail Blazers Predictions

Portland has had a better record at home, with eight wins and eight losses compared to their 5-16 away record. The Trail Blazers will love to take advantage of home court, but the Heat should take home the victory as they look to extend their winning streak to three games.
