The Sacramento Kings will be looking to continue their excellent start to the 2025 season as they take on the Miami Heat at the Golden 1 Center. This will be the second and last game between the two non-conference teams this year.
The Kings managed to avenge last season's 2-0 sweep with a narrow 111-110 win over the Heat on the road earlier this season. They will be aiming to complete the sweep on their home court on Monday evening.
The Kings enter this game off the back of a stunning 129-99 win over the Golden State Warriors, as they frustrated their opponents with Malik Monk and Domantas Sabonis combining for 48 points.
Many people felt that under temporary coach Doug Christie, the Kings might struggle in the new year after firing Mike Brown at the end of last year. However, they have managed to win four consecutive games following a tough stretch of six straight defeats, which led to Brown's dismissal.

Meanwhile, the Heat are in a crisis, with problems everywhere on and off the court. Not just for their back-to-back defeats, but also with star player Jimmy Butler sidelined with suspension over comments expressing unhappiness in Miami. And it doesn’t feel like a crisis where a win would make them suddenly start dancing with the flowers again.
One factor that will give the Heat a bit of confidence heading into this game is their head-to-head record, which they lead 47-25. Additionally, in the last six matchups, the Miami outfit has won four of them.
