Mike Conley., commonly known as Mike Conley Jr., is a professional basketball player from Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States. He plays as a point guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA. He played high school basketball for Lawrence North and collegiate basketball for Ohio State, leading the Big Ten Conference in assists as a freshman. He helped the Ohio State Buckeyes to the Big Ten Conference championship and NCAA Tournament final, where they lost to Florida. He was named to the All-Big Ten First Team for the 441 points and 238 assists that he scored in the tournament.

He played 39 games for Ohio State and started all 39 games. He scored an impressive average of 11.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 6.1 assists and a win share of 6.1. He had an extraordinary on-field presence of 31.6 minutes per game during his college. He received Third-team Parade All-American, McDonald’s All-American and First-Team All-Big Ten honors for his performance. He announced himself for the 2007 NBA Draft after his freshman year.
