The Detroit Pistons are set to host the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night as part of the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup. It's the final group game of the tournament for the Pistons and Bucks, and it's an important one since they have an identical record of 3-0.
According to Yahoo! Sports, the winner of tonight's game will advance to the knockout round as the representative of East Group B. The loser still has a chance to advance, but they have to contend against the losers of the Orlando Magic-New York Knicks game and the Boston Celtics.
To get the wild card spot, the losing team needs to have a better point differential. The Bucks can't lose by more than six points, while the Pistons have a smaller margin of six points. Detroit has lost 10 straight against Milwaukee and has not won since Jan. 3, 2022.
