The Bucks (20-16) are trying to show that they can compete with the best squads in the East while the Knicks (25-14) are trying to keep up with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics, the two best squads.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jalen Brunson went at it to try to take their respective teams to the promised land. Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns combined for 74 points to take the Knicks to the promised land against a dangerous team that couldn't keep up with the New Yorkers.

The Milwaukee Bucks vs. New York Knicks started with Brunson and Antetokounmpo showing their cards, leading their respective teams to try to start the matchup on the right foot. The Greek forward scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds while Brunson went off with 23 points while adding two rebounds and two assists. The Knicks won the first quarter 36-33, but the Bucks showed they wouldn't go down without a fight.
The Knicks took off in the second quarter and won the period 39-29, extending their lead to 13 points ahead of halftime. Giannis Antetokounmpo only scored one point while Damian Lillard added six, entering halftime with 15 units. Jalen Brunson added four points but found a solid partner in Karl-Anthony Towns, who scored 18 points.
The Knicks never took the foot off the gas and dominated the Bucks in the second half. The third one ended with a 33-27 win for the New Yorkers, extending the lead to 19 points. The fourth period was the worst for the Bucks, as they only scored 17 points but saw the Knicks score 32 units.
Although this was the fewest points the Knicks scored in any of the fourth quarter, they held off the Bucks to 17 points, winning the final period by a 15-point margin that confirmed their convincing 140-106 blowout win.
Jalen Brunson put on a show with 44 points, followed by Karl-Anthony Towns with 30. Cameron Payne added 18 units off the bench to help the Knicks secure the 26th win of the season. Giannis Antetokounmpo tried to lead the way for the Bucks with 24 points, followed by Damian Lillard's 22 points.
