The Minnesota Timberwolves and Chicago Bulls lock horns on Thursday at the United Center. The Timberwolves are 4-3 to start the season, while the Bulls are 3-5.
Minnesota is coming off a 114-93 blowout win over the Charlotte Hornets. Anthony Edwards and Naz Reid were key architects of the win. Edwards tallied 21 points, five rebounds and one assist, while Naz Reid had 25 points and nine rebounds on 9 of 13 shots, including five 3-pointers.
After a neck-and-neck first quarter that ended 24-24, the Timberwolves stretched their lead in the second quarter by 12 and never trailed again, closing Charlotte in the third quarter by taking a 24-point advantage.
Meanwhile, the Bulls are coming off a 119-99 loss against the Dallas Mavericks. Playing without Zach LaVine and Lonzo Ball, Chicago never found its footing. The Bulls struggled to guard the Mavs trio of Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson and had no rebuttal for their prowess.
