The Golden State Warriors continue their three-game homestand on Friday with a matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Golden State (13-8) is coming off a 99-93 home win over the Houston Rockets (15-8), led by fourth-year forward Jonathan Kuminga's career-high 33-point performance. The Warriors' victory, which snapped their five-game losing streak, came in the absences of superstar guard Steph Curry (injury management) and star forward Draymond Green (calf).

On the flip side, Minnesota (11-10) is looking to build upon its three-game winning streak. The Timberwolves secured a 108-90 blowout win over the LA Clippers (14-10) on Wednesday in the first outing of their three-game road trip.

Golden State has benefitted from its depth, ranking first in the NBA in bench scoring (49.5 points per game). Nevertheless, questions remain about whether it has enough talent around Curry to contend in the crowded Western Conference.

Conversely, Minnesota seeks to climb back up the West standings following its 2024 conference finals run. The Anthony Edwards-led squad has seemingly struggled to fully acclimate to its offseason acquisitions of star forward Julius Randle and shooting guard Donte DiVincenzo. However, the Timberwolves could be turning a corner after their latest string of victories.
