Moritz Wagner, more popularly known as Mo Wagner, is a towering German Basketball player who plays the Center position. Before Mo had turned 18, he got into professional Basketball and played two games before being noticed by University of Michigan Men’s Basketball coach John Beilein.

Going from playing in the European circuit to the United States was a big ask, but opportunities should be grasped when needed the most, and Mo did the same. Beilein even flew to Berlin to meet Mo, further discuss his abilities, and recruit him into Michigan State.

By choosing to attend the University of Michigan and play for the Michigan Wolverines, Mo had turned down playing Pro ball. However, from the long-run perspective, Mo took the right decision. Collegiate Basketball is often hyper-competitive and requires players to be at the top of their potential with their skills and Physical attributes and Mo understood this aspect.

Moritz Wagner Height

Mo stands 6 feet 11 inches tall. Centers in the NBA today are faster, more agile, and better conditioned to play two positions. Mo is no different in that term. Wagner’s height makes him an asset that can defend well in the paint and attack the rim with the quickness of a shooting guard.

Mo‘s height also gets him a better all-around court vision which benefits him in making better judgements and taking the right calls.

Being tall also comes with a couple of crucial and tangible Attributes that help to push a player’s skills and potential towards productivity:

Moritz Wanger’s Wingspan

Mo’s Wingspan measures an inch longer than his height at seven feet (214 cm). Centers utilize wingspan for advantage similar to how Point guards depend on agility. His long reach has helped to contest shots more accurately and disrupt opponents' offensive plays in the past.

Mo is surprisingly a more productive steal scorer than a shot blocker. While playing for the Wolverines, Mo averaged one steal per game for two seasons back-to-back and amassed a career average of 0.8 steals per game. Wagner’s wingspan also has good rebounding and shot-blocking features but Mo hasn’t been able to flesh out these features of his game.

Moritz Wagner Weight

Wagner weighs about 245 lbs (111 kg). Mo carried a slender build during his College days, weighing mere 210 lbs for most of his three-year career and it made sense; College has its levels of competitive drive but Professional Basketball is on a different spectrum when it comes to Physicality. Wagner has added some muscle mass to his weight since his Draft year.

What Size Shoes does Moritz Wagner wear?

Mo Wagner wears Size 16 ½ (U.S measurement) Shoes. Wagner proudly wears shoes from the Jordan brand. Though Mo has worn multiple Jordan brand shoes, he has routinely worn Air Jordan 36 and Jordan react elevation. These shoes are lightweight and give the necessary comfort, have a spring cushioning effect, contain herringbone tread and pivot circle for pure basketball traction, and are made from synthetic leather and textile materials that make these shoes durable.
