Nevertheless, the Orlando Magic look to be the perfect destination for the 21-year-old, and if Ball is made available, the Magic are likely to be aggressive in securing a deal with the Lakers for the point guard.

The Magic have quietly put together a promising young roster, and only two members of the current team are over the age of 30. One of these is their current starting point guard, D.J. Augustin, who until this season, had spent his entire career coming off the bench. Ball would immediately replace Augustin in the starting five, and the youngster's addition to an already talented roster should be enough to ensure regular playoff contention for the Magic.
