#2 Westbrook's triple-double goes in vain

Russell Westbrook recorded 11th triple-double of the season
Russell Westbrook recorded 11th triple-double of the season

Russell Westbrook recorded 11th triple-double of the season in the loss against the Wizards. He finished with 22 points, 15 rebounds, 13 assists, and one block, over 37 minutes. This was his third triple-double in his last four games, and he needed just three quarters to get it done.

He shot 9-of-23 from the field and converted 2-of-5 three-pointer attempts that he took. He scored off plays set by his teammates and in the typical Westbrook-rush to the basket.

The triple-double doesn't hide the fact that Westbrook is performing terribly at the shooting end. He shot about 39% in this game; 3-for-20 against the Lakers and 4-for-22 against Dallas. He is putting up numbers, he is winning or at least helping the Thunder to win games but he is not finding a steady rhythm and needs to put some real focus on his scoring skills as the playoffs are nearing.
