#2 Both teams shot equally well from the floor, but the T-Wolves outrebounded the Magic and took care of the FT line
As a collective unit, the Timberwolves shot 47-of-91 from the floor, bringing their conversion up to a blazing 51.6 percent in the night. The Magic were not far behind, as they converted 42-of-88 from the field as a unit, good enough for a 47.7 percent success rate. Both teams attempted almost the same number of three-point shots and managed to net nine of them.
What really made the difference was the monster rebounding put on display by Minnesota, as they outrebounded their opponents 54-35. KAT and Taj Gibson combined for 25 boards between them while Gorgui Dieng chipped with 11 rebounds of his own to seal the area for Orlando.

Both teams committed 20 personal fouls each, but the hosts netted 17 of their 23 free throws. In contrast, the Magic could only capitalise on 10 of the 19 FTs they were rewarded with.
The Timberwolves are currently top 10 in the league in terms of free-throw shooting percentage, and that really played to their benefit when Orlando was getting impatient on defence.
