#1 Luka Doncic show
The Mavericks rookie has become a must-watch show this season. Doncic has comfortably been the Mavs' best player and is displaying elite potential with each passing game.
Doncic had a career-scoring night in his early NBA career during their last-gasp defeat against the New Orleans Pelicans. He scored 34 points in the match while becoming the youngest player to hit seven three-pointers in a single game. Luka also fell just one rebound shy of a triple-double, which would have made more history too.

Unsurprisingly, Luka is the early Rookie of the Year favourite. He's averaging 19.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5 assists per game for the season and has transitioned seamlessly from the Euro league to the NBA. In the month of December, Luka joined LeBron James and Stephen Curry as the only players to average 20 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds in one calendar month during their rookie seasons.
