Last season, Clint Capela was one of the key reasons why the Houston Rockets went so deep in the playoffs. In the off-season, he signed a 5-year $90 million contract extension with the Rockets.

He picked up where he left off and has been great for the team so far, even though the Rockets do not look like the force they once were. Capela is averaging career-highs in points and rebounds per game with 17.7 and 11.6 respectively.

Rudy Gobert is one of the best defenders in the league, if not the best, and is the defending Defensive Player of the Year. Last year, Jazz's defensive rating took a huge dip after Gobert went down with an injury and once he returned, they looked like a force to reckon with and made it to the playoffs.
In the playoffs, they even shocked the Oklahoma City Thunder in six games, before losing to Houston Rockets in the Conference Semifinals. However, the story has been very different this season and the Jazz are currently at 13th spot in the Western Conference Standings, fighting for a place in the playoffs. However, Gobert has been his usual self and is dominating on both ends of the floor, averaging 14.3 points, 12.3 rebounds per game.
