SG 1 - DeMar DeRozan (San Antonio Spurs):
The San Antonio Spurs have had an up and down start to the season. They are currently 12th in the Western conference with a 11-12 record, which, given the tumultuous situation of the West, is not that bad.
But what is alarming for the Spurs is that they have gotten absolutely blown off the court in 2 of their past 3 games, by the Timberwolves and the Rockets. They had a nice comeback win against Portland Trailblazers and are hoping to keep this up when they go up against the Utah Jazz, who are having a similar season till now.

DeRozan has been averaging 24 points per game, to go with 6 assists and 6 rebounds per game. Given the injury situation the Spurs had in the beginning, he had to step in as the point guard and the shooting guard, doing a great job.
He had improved his 3 point shooting in his final season with the Raptors but it's now at his career worst, at 18.2%. He is enjoying a career high in field goal percentage though, at 48%, meaning that Popovich has given him the keys to the offense and to do whatever he pleases. In the win over Portland, DeMar was instrumental, having scored 36 points in 38 minutes, with 6 assists, 8 rebounds and 2 steals.
