NBA 2018-19: Eastern Conference playoff picture prediction

1st seed: Boston Celtics

Arguably a top two coach in the league today

This one shouldn't be a surprise. The Celtics are stacked. Some may argue that after the Warriors, they are the second-best team in the league.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will only get better and develop their game further. Tatum has the potential to be a star in this league. He may not reach this potential soon because of the All-Stars on his team but nonetheless, he will play his part.

Gordon Hayward will return, which is huge for the Celtics. Some may have forgotten the skill and talent of Hayward because he hasn't played in a year.

He is an All-Star level talent and will give the team 20+ points. Kyrie Irving will be expected to play at a similar level last year and will show why he is considered by some as a top 3 point guard in the league today.

Al Horford, the underrated player he is, is going to play a vital position in the franchise. His two-way game and ability to do everything will come in handy to push the Celtics to the NBA finals.

Lastly, we can't forget the Celtics have arguably a top two coach in the league with Brad Stevens. There have been a lot of concerns of how the Celtics will be able to distribute the ball with all the talent they have.

If there is one coach who can do it effectively, it is Brad Stevens. Brad's ball movement and emphasis on defense will be keys for the Celtics to perform at an elite level. This is the team to beat in the East.
