#2 Dirk Nowitzki (40 years old)
Dirk Nowitzki's career is filled with accolades but nothing comes close to this one. He has played for 21 years (and counting) in the NBA and spent all those years with one franchise i.e. Dallas Mavericks.
Nowitzki was born on June 19, 1978 in Germany and made his way to the NBA after some serious performances in the German league. He was selected as the ninth overall pick in the 1998 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. The Mavericks traded Robert Taylor, forward from Michigan to the Bucks in exchange for Dirk.

The Dunking Deutschman went on to become one of the greatest power forwards of all-time and brought home the only title the franchise ever won in 2011. He was named the MVP that year for his performance and also took home the Finals MVP. The 2018-19 season might well be the final one for Nowitzki in the NBA.
