Denver Nuggets have the best roster on paper

The Denver Nuggets have the NBA's deepest roster heading into the 2019/20 campaign, ending up securing every spot on their squad without having to foray much into the free agency market.

Jamal Murray is one of the league's youngest point-guards and probably second best player on this roster too. His scoring ability is second to none and on his day, he's unstoppable. Monte Morris is a very good backup option, who can make really good passes while providing some offensive support too.

Gary Harris is one of the league's most efficient shooting guards and will be one of the starting five next season. Malik Beasley enjoyed a breakthrough season last year and should see more minutes this coming year, while Torrey Craig will be a backup shooting guard this term.

Will Barton has proven a great presence for a relatively young Nuggets roster, on hand to lift them up when they need a boost. He will start at small forward, while Michael Porter Jr. will be eagerly looking to break into the rotation and take minutes away from Barton after the highly-regarded 21-year-old had a medical red-shirt during his rookie season last year. Their newest recruit, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson too will look to break into this rotation.

Paul Millsap will continue to play with the Nuggets after they picked his team option and decided to retain the core players. A superb defender and rebounder, he's set to help them significantly - as will Jerami Grant, who was traded to Denver from OKC on Monday and will pick up a lot of minutes at the power forward spot.

Last but not least, Nikola Jokic is the generational center talent who can score, pass and defend almost anything. He emerged as a dark horse MVP candidate, leading the Nuggets' impressive season. Now with Bol Bol and Mason Plumlee, they are equipped with a really solid team aiming to reach the NBA Finals this season.
