NBA 2K14 to feature fourteen Euroleague teams

2K Sports has signed a multi-year global licensing partnership with Euroleague Basketball, which will have 14 teams incorporated into the next edition of the NBA 2K14 video game developed by Visual Concepts, a 2K studio.

Earlier, the game included teams only those from NBA but for the first time Euroleague teams have been included in the popular franchise. The game is set to be launched somewhere in October.

“We’re absolutely delighted to be able to welcome top Euroleague teams into the NBA 2K series,” said Jason Argent, senior vice president of sports operations for 2K Sports.

Jordi Bertmomeu, the president and chief executive of Euroleague Basketball, added: “We are very proud to collaborate with 2K Sports by introducing our teams and players into the best basketball videogame in the world. With this partnership, we’re able to bring fans one step closer to the action by ushering the Euroleague into the global gaming community.”

14 Euroleague teams have been selected for inclusion in the game: Alba Berlin, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, CSKA Moscow,EA7 Emporio Armani Milano, Montepaschi Siena, Fenerbahçe Ülker Istanbul, Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Olympiacos Piraeus, Panathinaikos Athens, Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv, Zalgiris Kaunas, Unicaja Málaga and Laboral Kutxa Vitoria.
