NBA 2K22 predictions: Ratings of the Boston Celtics starting 5

Shooting Guard – Dennis Schroder (79)

Dennis Schroder had the option of staying with the LA Lakers, having had an inconsistent last season despite averaging more than 15 points and almost 6 assists per game.

Schroder was rumored to be unhappy with the reduced role that he was given on the LA Lakers roster, something that is expected to get worse in the coming season.

Schroder has been on a bit of a freefall in NBA 2K games in the last two years and had an overall of 81 in NBA 2K20, followed by an 80 rating last year. He has the build of a mid-range playmaker and will be looking to get back into the 80s with the Boston Celtics.

Small Forward – Jaylen Brown (87)

Jaylen Brown had by far his best season with respect to individual statistics last time around and was unlucky to have missed the Playoffs with an injury layoff. Brown started 58 games, averaging 24.7 points and 6 rebounds, and was given an overall of 87 last year.

This time around, Jaylen Brown can be expected to hold on to the same rating for NBA 2K22. He showed vast improvement and shot at a career-high of 58.8% overall. Brown will be looking for his second straight All-Star appearance next season and is expected to be given the same build of a 2-way scoring machine.

Power Forward – Jayson Tatum (90)

Expected to be the highest rated Boston Celtics player with an overall of 90, Jayson Tatum had a strong season despite his team eventually falling short. He averaged a career-high 26.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game whilst shooting at a healthy 53% overall.

Tatum has been given a rating of 90 in NBA 2K22, an overall that he has held on to from the NBA 2K21 game. He was an 88 overall in NBA 2K21 and has the build of a scoring machine.
