Isiah Thomas is one of the greatest point guards of all-time. The 12-time All-Star spent his entire 14-year career with the Detroit Pistons and led them successfully to two NBA championships. He also won the 1990 NBA Finals MVP.
The Dallas Mavericks were in Detroit to take on the Pistons in one of the regular-season games in 1985. After losing to the Chicago Bulls, the Pistons were looking for a win and Isiah Thomas came up alive with a staggering performance to save the day for the home team.
He scored 23 points and had 25 assists on the night to help the Pistons beat the Mavericks by five points. He had 16 of those assists in the first half and dominated the opposition.
