The Nuggets jumped to an early lead in the first quarter and at the 4:17 mark, George knocked down an open three-pointer to cut the deficit to 4 points. Apart from him, no one showed up for the Thunder and the Nuggets went into the halftime with a 72-57 lead.
In the fourth quarter, with the Thunder down by 6 points and 1:24 remaining, George made a huge three-pointer to create panic in the crowd. He then followed it up with a beautiful layup to cut the deficit to just one point.
The 5-time All-Star was not done and with just 1.4 seconds remaining in the game, he made a step-back three-pointer shot to tie the game. However, the Thunder lost the game on a game-winning three-pointer by Gary Harris and another Paul George's offensive explosion ended in a loss.
