The Wizards were on the second night of a back-to-back schedule, after losing to the Utah Jazz by as many as 47 points one day prior. They traveled to Portland to take on the Trail Blazers, where Beal exploded for 51 points to help the Wizards get the win.

Beal started the game hot with 12 points in the first quarter, and the Wizards took a 24-22 lead. The 25-year-old shooting guard got even better as the match progressed, registering a staggering 36 points in the second half.
