Another member of the All-NBA rookie team, the talented and skilled shooting guard was drafted by the Miami Heat as the 5th overall pick. Leading his Miami Heat to the title in 2006 at the Dallas Mavericks expense, he lifted the NBA Finals MVP award along with the Larry O’Brein trophy. A 9-time NBA All Star he won the MVP for the All-Star game at Dallas in 2010.
A capable point guard, Wade’s signature 2 step allows him to finish past bigger defenders and occasionally earn an extra shot at the free throw line. An Olympic gold medalist in 2008, post the Finals victory Wade developed a reputation as one of the premium clutch players in the NBA.
