#2 Brooklyn Nets - Projected Cap Space - $68.6 million

At the start of the month, the Brooklyn Nets sent Allen Crabbe and his $18.5 million contract to the Atlanta Hawks. The move created enough salary cap for the Nets to add two maximum contracts this summer, but Brooklyn's free agency plans could be impacted by D'Angelo Russell. The 23-year-old will need to leave if the Nets are to lure Kyrie Irving and a second All-Star, but the franchise is wary of losing Russell and then striking out in free-agency.

Nevertheless, the signs are positive, as the Celtics have already prepared for Irving's departure by moving for Kemba Walker, while multiple reports have stated that Irving has his heart set on moving to Brooklyn.

If the Nets fail to add a second All-Star, then expect the remaining salary cap to be used on building a team around Irving, and the team should emerge from free agency in good shape for the 19-20 season.
