Up until last month, Raymond Felton didn't particularly stand out as the best veteran free agent option, although the retirement of Shaun Livingston and Jeremy Lin's move to China has elevated Felton's standing on the market.

Felton turned 35 earlier this year but performed well when called upon by the Oklahoma City Thunder last season and was widely praised as a positive presence in the locker room. Felton was also impressive the prior season as he played backup to Russell Westbrook on a contending OKC team, and finished the season averaging 6.9 points, 2.5 assists, and 1.9 assists per contest.

While he has yet to find a new team, Felton appears determined to play on for at least one more year, and the veteran is still an affective backup guard that can easily pick out open teammates. Ultimately, Felton is the most reliable guard remaining on the market, and he will likely make a return to the NBA at some point this season.
