Lonzo Ball suffered an ankle sprain during the Lakers’ January 19th game in Houston, and the Lakers have struggled in his absence. Last week, The Los Angeles Times reported that Ball had begun running on an underwater treadmill, and the 21-year-old's recovery was going as planned.
Nevertheless, Ball is now believed to have suffered a setback on his road to recovery, and the LA Times is reporting that Ball will miss more than the initially estimated six weeks:

Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball has been dealing with a bone bruise in his sprained left ankle that the team believes could extend his recovery past six weeks, according to two people familiar with Ball’s condition.
Some reports have claimed that Ball could miss another five to six weeks, although, at this point Ball's injury timeframe remains unconfirmed, and Rajon Rondo will continue to start at point guard.
