#3 Darius Miller set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines
Darius Miller suffered an injury while practicing earlier this week, and the New Orleans Pelicans have confirmed that the small forward has ruptured his right Achilles tendon:
The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that forward Darius Miller underwent successful surgery this morning to repair a ruptured right Achilles tendon. A timeline for Miller’s return to basketball activities will be made available at a later date.

While the Pelicans didn't specify how long Miller will be out for, ESPN is reporting that the 29-year-old is likely to miss between 7 and 8 months.
Miller played 69 times for the Pelicans last season, averaging 8.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. Miller was expected to compete for a starting spot with E’Twaun Moore and Brandon Ingram, and the Pelicans may now seek a replacement.
