#3 Isaiah Thomas could make his Wizards debut on Saturday

Isaiah Thomas is expected to play a big role for the Washington Wizards this season due to John Wall's long-term injury, and CBS Sports is reporting that the point guard could make his debut on Saturday:

This will be Thomas' second straight absence to start the season while he works his way back from his thumb injury, but there is some optimism, as head coach Scott Brooks said that there is a possibility Thomas will play Saturday. Consider him a game-time decision for that contest.

Thomas' offseason was impacted by a thumb injury, and the 30-year-old was initially expected to miss the opening weeks of the season. However, it was reported last week that the former All-Star was well ahead of schedule, and Thomas could make his debut against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday.
