Jim Boeheim believes Carmelo Anthony can still make an impact in the NBA
Carmelo Anthony has spent nearly a year on the sidelines after being told to find a new team by the Houston Rockets back in November. The 10-time All-Star almost joined the Los Angeles Lakers back in February, although a move broke down, and the franchise now appears hesitant to revisit a deal.
Nevertheless, Anthony has not given up hope of making a return, and Jim Boheim believes that the former Knicks star can still make an impact in the NBA:

He's in great shape, he works out every day... If he was a guy playing 16-20 minutes per game on the second unit. If he's having a good game, you'll play him a little bit more, if he's not having a big game, then you know, you don't use him at the end.
After refusing to come off of the bench during his year stint with the Thunder, Melo has recently stated his willingness to play a lesser role in order to prolong his career.
