#2 Puma made Zion Williamson a huge offer before he signed with Nike
After the fallout of the opening week of free agency finally settled, many fans began to speculate on which sportswear company Zion Williamson would sign with. After much consideration, the 19-year-old linked up with the Jordan brand on a 5-year deal worth $75 million. Nevertheless, Nick DePaula of ESPN is reporting that Williamson could have signed a much larger deal with Puma:
They (Puma) offered him an impressive financial commitment: a deal that soared as high as $15 million per year, plus the potential to add an additional $3 million a year in bonuses.

Williamson is believed to have accepted less money with the Jordan brand after growing up idolizing Michael Jordan. The teenager enters the NBA as the most exciting talent to emerge since LeBron James back in 2003. He will form part of a promising New Orleans roster that also features Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Josh Hart.
