Chandler started the 18-19 season with the Phoenix Suns, although he quickly agreed upon a buyout. The veteran then joined the Los Angeles Lakers, playing 48 times while averaging 3.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
At 36, Chandler is approaching the end of a lengthy career in the league, although the veteran big will serve as a ready-made replacement for the departed Nene. While unlikely to play a major role, the former All-Star will be able to offer the Rockets a solid 10-15 minutes each night.
