The majority of the NBA's best talent was snapped up within hours of 2019's free agency window, although Kawhi Leonard took his time before finally announcing his intent to join the L.A. Clippers.

Leonard's decision left the Lakers scrambling to fill a depleted roster, and Brian Windhorst of ESPN is reporting that Los Angeles feels that the Finals MVP played them:

I heard complaints from the Lakers that they got played... Leonard knew all along that he wasn’t signing with the Lakers, waited a week into free agency so other top free agents would commit elsewhere then announced his decision just to sabotage the Lakers.

Leonard will be joined in Los Angeles by Paul George, and the Clippers are expected to compete with the Lakers for next season's title.
