Lonzo Ball can't wait to start for the Pelicans

Lonzo Ball was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the second overall pick of the 2017 draft, and the young point guard was expected to play a key role in the future of the franchise.

However, injuries impacted Ball's performances on the court, and the 21-year-old was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans earlier in the summer. Nevertheless, during an interview with ESPN, Ball revealed that he was excited by the prospect of linking up with his former teammates in New Orleans:

I was kind of excited, honestly... So I was kind of already just waiting for it, honestly, and I was happy to go with two guys I am comfortable with in B.I. (Brandon Ingram) and JHart (Josh Hart). I am excited to see what we can do.
During the 18-19 season, Ball played 47 times, averaging 9.9 points, 5.4 assists, and 5.3 rebounds.
