Game four was different from the last three, Orlando Magic played with much more confidence compared to game three where they were outplayed at home. Before the game Vince Carter said “stay on the line for each other no matter how game three was”, and boy they were on track.
It would have been a cake walk if Boston Celtics would have won this game which would have made them the team to get to the finals two times in three years but it didn’t happen as number 12 of the Orlando Magic Dwight Howard scored a series high of 32 points that took the game to overtime. “We didn’t win this game just to win a game or to say we were in this series,” Dwight Howard said. “You know, we want to make this a series and win this series. We all have to believe that. I told the guys before the game to put out all disbelief, anxiety and fear. We just got to keep playing.”
In the first two quarter Orlando kept an average lead of 5 points but it wasn’t easy as point guard Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics kept making life difficult for the Magic defence moving in and around the free throw line and scoring at ease while Rondo was making good steals and veteran three pointer Ray Allen making the hoop.

Compared to the last three games Orlando were attacking more and not letting Boston get into their positions as they have the best defensive record in the NBA this season. Looking at the shot clock, Orlando in 22 seconds they were already in the Boston three pointer line that was how aggressive and fast their offence was but defensively they were lacking. The first half score ended Orlando 51-47 Boston.
The second half was different Boston came hard at the magic moving and passing the ball around tackling the Orlando defence ,with the likes of Peirce, Rondo, Allen and Garnet the lead was level at 74 points in the third quarter.
In the last quarter and overtime the game was very tight and Orlando kept giving turnovers after turnovers but Nelson who scored 23 points in 14 shots kept hammering the basket and hitting consecutive three in overtime. Pierce for the Celtics was doing just the same but the man who stole the show was Dwight Howard not by only scoring the maximum points for the magic but was also good defensively in which he had 16 rebounds.
Orlando Magic 92-89 Boston Celtics. That was the final line as Orlando did it this time. It was still a 3-1 advantage to the Celtics but Orlando have made a comeback in match five where they beat Celtic 96-92 in another close game.
