The visiting Brooklyn Nets managed to beat the higher rated Philadelphia 76ers 111-102 in Game one. This was a team effort, but D'angelo Russel contributed the most with 26 points for the winning team and Caris LeVert followed with 23 points of his own.

On the Sixers side Jimmy Butler led the team with a playoff career high of 36 points which proved to not be enough for the win. The Sixers kept the margin small for the most part of the game with their world class defence.
