#3 Bothered Joel Embiid comes back from his injury

The lower ranked Brooklyn Nets upset the higher up Philadelphia Sixers to grab game one for themselves

Joel Embiid had been out for 14 of the last 24 of the 76'ers games due to a knee injury. With his left knee still sore, he was only cleared to play 10 minutes before the actual game. Despite the obvious discomfort, he finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds.

The visiting Brooklyn Nets managed to beat the higher rated Philadelphia 76ers 111-102 in Game one. This was a team effort, but D'angelo Russel contributed the most with 26 points for the winning team and Caris LeVert followed with 23 points of his own.

On the Sixers side Jimmy Butler led the team with a playoff career high of 36 points which proved to not be enough for the win. The Sixers kept the margin small for the most part of the game with their world class defence.
