NBA Preseason Day 6: Rockets rain 3's in 62-point win over Shanghai Sharks; Jeremy Lin leads Nets to win

Shanghai Sharks 82-144 Houston Rockets

As many as eight players scored in double figures, as the Rockets rained 22 three's on their Chinese opponents - the Shanghai Sharks. Last year's sixth man of the year Eric Gordon top-scored with 17 points while nailing 4 three-pointers on five attempts.

Houston's superstars Chris Paul and James Harden stuffed the stat sheet once again as both of them recorded double-digits assists. Paul put up 11 points, 12 assists, 4 steals and 3 rebounds while his backcourt mate recorded 9 points, 11 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 blocks.

For the Sharks, their two biggest contributors were Nick Minnerath (22 points, 8 rebounds) and Josh Akognon (27 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists).

Houston play their next preseason game against the Knicks in New York on Oct. 9 - Monday (Oct. 10 IST).

Toronto Raptors 101-106 Portland Trail Blazers

Damian Lillard led the Blazers with 16 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds to a win over the visiting Toronto Raptors. He was ably supported by C.J. McCollum (15 points, 4 assists, 3 steals) and Jusuf Nurkic (12 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks) as the Blazers recorded 20 assists on their 38 made field goals.

The Raptors, who were playing their third preseason game in four nights, were led by All-Star Kyle Lowry - 23 points and 6 assists. Toronto's bench contributed 53 of their points total. Having played so many games back-to-back, the Raptors don't play their next game till Oct. 10 (Oct. 11 IST).

Miami Heat 88-107 Brooklyn Nets

The Nets remained unbeaten as they defeated the Heat at home behind Jeremy Lin's 16 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds. Three other Brooklyn players registered double-digit points - Joe Harris (10 points), Sean Kilpatrick (14 points) and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (10 points).

The Heat, in their second preseason game, had three players in double figures. Led by their Goran Dragic (12 points) and Hassan Whiteside (19 points, 9 rebounds), the team also received some valuable contributions from the bench via Tyler Johnson (21 points, 9 rebounds).

While the Nets will see their neighbors the Knicks at the Barclays Center on Sunday, Oct. 8th (Oct. 9 IST), the Heat will play state rivals the Magic in Orlando on Saturday.
