#2 Keeping hold of Bradley Beal
Bradley Beal’s rise to be one of the best scorers in the NBA has been meteoric, but has also resulted in interest from a number of NBA teams. Most recently, it was the Golden State Warriors who were linked with a move, with Beal himself reported to be considering making a trade request.

With Wes Unseld Jr. reportedly looking to re-build, convincing Bradley Beal to stay should be the Washington Wizards’ biggest tasks this offseason. Beal has averaged 31.3 points this season and has a great relationship with Russell Westbrook. For the Wizards, going for a big rebuild does not make sense considering they have two elite players capable of landing them the championship with the right team around them.

#3 Adding an elite scorer to the roster
With Thomas Bryant to return next season and the improvement that Rui Hachimura showed along with a no. 15 pick, the Washington Wizards still look short of another scorer, and have recently been linked to a number of players, including DeMar DeRozan and Jerami Grant.

Re-signing Raul Neto will give them depth at the Guard position while Gafford is another potential role player who can impact games for the Wizards next season. Regardless, adding a scorer might not even prove to be difficult, with the Wizards reportedly looking at the 28-year-old Davis Bertans as a potential asset that they can use in a sign-and-trade deal.
