#1 Carmelo Anthony
Carmelo Anthony has been linked with the Lakers at various points during his illustrious career and the 10-time All-Star almost headed to LA last season. A deal eventually broke down after the Lakers fell out of playoff contention, although Melo has yet to find a team and speculation continues to intensify.
In terms of his potential impact, Anthony has not played a competitive game since departing the Houston Rockets last November but continues to work out in an attempt to remain sharp. At this point in his career, a reserve role would suit Melo and the former All-Star could prove a huge weapon as part of their second unit.

Ultimately, Melo will be motivated by the prospect of competing for a title alongside James and could offer the Lakers at least one season of good basketball.
