The number one overall pick of the 2011 NBA draft was seen as the Cleveland’s next star after LeBron’s departure. Once again his team did not show much improvement in the two seasons he has played for them yet, his performances and efficiency in the clutch along with the number of personal awards he received makes it tough to ignore him.

After missing three weeks of action at the start of this past season, Kyrie returned to the game with a career high 41 points against NYK at the Garden to become the youngest player in the NBA to score 40+ points at the Garden, a year younger than when Jordan did it in 1985.
In his rookie season, he impressed everyone with his performance and earned the Rookie of the year award for 2012 along with MVP honors at the 2012 Rising stars challenge while playing for Team Chuck. Next season he was named for the East All Stars and also won the Three point Shootout trophy at the All Star Weekend.
