Allen Iverson went off in the first round of the 2003 playoffs against the New Orleans Hornets and scored 58 points on a brilliant 21-for-32 shooting to give the 76ers their first win of the series (1-0). He started the game hot and scored 13 points in the first quarter and the Sixers took a 27-20 lead.
It was a five-point game at halftime and the 2001 MVP had 25 points. In the third quarter, at 0:39.6 mark, Iverson shot a 26-foot three-pointer to give the Sixers a two-point lead.
In the final period of the regulation, Iverson was lights out and scored 20 points as he single-handedly led the 76ers to the win. He finished the night shooting at a brilliant 21-for-32 from the field, including 3-for-5 from long range. The Sixers went on to win this series in six games.
