#1 Miami Heat

Despite missing out on the playoffs for the second time in three years, the Miami Heat managed to complete an unlikely sign-and-trade for Jimmy Butler. Butler's decision to head to South Beach caused somewhat of a stir, although the four-time All-Star is believed to have been convinced to join the struggling franchise after being assured that a second-star would follow.

While another big name has yet to arrive, the Heat's ambition was on show as the organization attempted to complete a deal for Russell Westbrook earlier this summer. Miami has yet to hit the panic button in its search, and the team remains keen on signing Bradley Beal. However, that deal appears unlikely, and DeRozan is a viable alternative.

The Heat may have to include their emerging young duo of Justise Winslow and Bam Adebayo, although Butler is already 30, and the Heat need someone who can make an impact now rather than in three years.
