#2 Harrison Barnes

Harrison Barnes
Harrison Barnes

Harrison Barnes is an effective NBA player, although doubts remain over his ability to make the Mavericks contenders. The 26-year-old is currently halfway through a four-year, $94 million contract that he signed with the franchise back in 2016, and his salary has increased to close to $25 million for the 18/19 season. Despite this, Barnes has yet to make an All-Star appearance, and the Mavericks fanbase is split on his impact.

Barnes is averaging 18.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists, although his field goal percentage in this season is at a career low. The Mavericks also have the exciting young duo of Luka Doncic and Dennis Smith Jr., so it remains to be seen if Barnes will feature in the long-term plans of the franchise.

Nevertheless, Barnes is currently locked into a contract until 2020, and if the Mavericks were willing to trade the forward, then they could get a lot of pieces in return.
