The former Pistons man is averaging just 21.6 minutes per game from the bench, and his points-per-game total has fallen to a near career-low of 8.7.

Despite this, Caldwell-Pope has scored at least 10 points in 7 of his last 9 games, and he would represent a major upgrade on the Sixers current reserve unit. The Lakers also seem desperate to do a deal, as the team was reportedly looking to include the 25-year-old in a trade for the Phoenix Suns Trevor Ariza. If the 76ers can find a way to take on Caldwell-Pope's $12 million contract, then a deal will be completed quickly.
