#2 Jose Juan Barea
Back in 2014, J.J. Barea signed with the Dallas Mavericks, returning to the franchise for a second stint. Barea had previously been for the team between 2006 and 2011, as the Mavericks had offered the point guard a place on their roster after Barea went undrafted during the 2006 NBA draft. While Barea has never been a regular starter within the league, the veteran has always been among the better back up point guards in the NBA.
The 2018/19 season has been no different., as despite playing less than 20 minutes per game, the 34-year-old is averaging 10.9 points, 5.6 assists, and 2.4 rebounds. Barea continues to provide a major impact on the team from the bench, and due to his upcoming free agency, a number of contenders are looking at the guard. Nevertheless, the Mavericks will get little in return for the veteran and should be working on convincing Barea to sign a new deal this summer.
