#2 Otto Porter Jr.
Back in November, the New Orleans Pelicans were credited with having an interest in acquiring Otto Porter Jr. The small forward was drafted by the Wizards with the 3rd pick of the 2013 draft, although the Washingon franchise is now gearing up for a major rebuild. Porter Jr. has missed the last three games through injury, although for the season he is averaging 11.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists.
Otto Porter's large contract could, however, prove to be a problem for the Pelicans. The 25-year-old is contracted until 2022, and his current salary of $24,773,250 will rise to $28,489,238 for the 21/22 season. The Pelicans may need to move a number of fringe players in order to make a trade work, although Porter is the caliber of player that could help turn around the Pelicans season.
