The Oklahoma City Thunder are looking to rebuild after losing their All-Star duo this summer

Beal has been linked with the Oklahoma City Thunder since last February, and some wanted to see the guard form an All-star trio with Russell Westbrook and Paul George. However, despite the departures of PG13 and Westbrook, Beal remains an intriguing option for Sam Presti and the Thunder.

At 26, Beal is the same age as Dennis Schroder and Steven Adams, while the Thunder also has emerging talent in Terrance Ferguson and Hamidou Diallo. With Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also joining as part of the Paul George trade, Beal’s arrival would put the Thunder into instant playoff contention. There is no doubt that the Thunder have the assets to get a deal done, although Presti may be hesitant to give up too much due to Beal's ongoing contract situation.
