#1 Bradley Beal
Bradley Beal played college basketball in Florida with the Gators before being selected by the Wizards with the third overall pick in the 2012 draft. Since drafting the guard, the Wizards have attempted to build success on the duo of Beal and John Wall, although the team has not made it past the Conference Semifinals, and currently hold a 13-20 record.
Due to the current plight of the team, Beal is reportedly unhappy in Washington and has no long-term plans to stay with the franchise. The Mavericks would have to give up players such as Harrison Barnes to pull off a trade for Beal, although the addition of the All-Star would drastically improve the Mavericks' future prospects.

The 25-year-old could potentially form part of a dominant duo with Luka Doncic, so if the Wizards are willing to deal the guard, the Mavs should steal a march on their rivals by making a move.
