We have now passed the halfway point of the 2018/19 NBA season, and teams are starting to get a good idea about where they currently stand. Up until this point, both Conferences have remained competitive, with eleven teams in playoff contention in the Eastern Conference, while every team except the Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies still have a shot in the West.
The February trade deadline is also quickly approaching, as the NBA has made changes to the deadline so that it will now always occur 10 days before the All-Star game. This has been done so that players, who are traded, have time to settle into their new teams, so this year's trade window will close on February 7th.
So with the trade deadline just two weeks away, here are the biggest trade rumors you need to know for January 28th.

Trey Burke is attracting interest from the Warriors
After suffering another disappointing season, the New York Knicks are currently focused on developing their young talent. Due to this, a number of senior players are likely to move on before the trade deadline, and the NY Post is reporting that Trey Burke is currently attracting interest:
In search of second-round picks, the Knicks will explore trading Burke at the Feb. 7 deadline, and he said he’s fine whether he stays or goes. This latest showcase for Burke, a free agent, is bound to turn NBA heads.
The Lakers are without injured point guard Lonzo Ball, the Warriors are thin at backup point guard with Quinn Cook and the Nets just lost Spencer Dinwiddie for weeks to thumb surgery.
Burke has been with the Knicks for just over a year and has averaged 11.6 points and 2.9 assists per game this season.

Lakers center is attracting trade interest
Ivica Zubac has been the Lakers' third choice center for much of the season and has played just 29 games for the team. Nevertheless, the LA Times is citing anonymous scouts who believe that Zubac could leave Los Angeles this month:
The 7 foot 1-inch Zubac has intrigued scouts with his soft hands and effectiveness in the pick-and-roll offense... The reviews go from poor man’s Pau Gasol on offense because of his great feel for the game to plays like a center should. (One scout suggested) He’s precisely the kind of player a team could ask for late in trade talks, good enough and inexpensive enough for a team to acquire, yet not meaningful enough for the Lakers to kill a major trade.
Zubac was selected by the Lakers in the second round of the 2016 NBA draft and the center is averaging 8.6 points and 5.0 rebounds per game this season.
Pistons could trade away Reggie Bullock
The Detroit Pistons have struggled for form recently and currently hold a 21-27 record. While the team is still in the hunt for a playoff place, The Detroit News is reporting that the Pistons may choose to deal a number of their best players before the deadline:
Throwing in the towel likely means dealing the expiring contracts of Reggie Bullock and Ish Smith, if they can find a taker. Senior adviser Ed Stefanski said this week on the Wired Pistons podcast that they’ve looked into the options for Bullock.
Bullock has been with Detroit since 2015, and he has started 40 times for the Pistons this season. The 27-year-old is averaging 12 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, although Bullock will become a free agent this summer, so the Pistons may feel pressured to trade him away before the trade deadline.
