The New York Knicks were linked with the likes of Chris Paul and Kawhi Leonard prior to the start of the offseason due to their erstwhile cap space. They ended up spending most of it to re-sign their own free agents. The Knicks did manage to land Evan Fournier from the Boston Celtics and hometown boy Kemba Walker after he agreed to a buyout with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
