The New York Knicks will face the Memphis Grizzlies for the first time this season on Saturday. New York, which had its five-game winning streak snapped 128-124 by the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday, will look to bounce back. Julius Randle, who had a great game against the Mavericks, will be hoping to lead the Knicks again versus the Grizzlies.
Like the Knicks, the Grizzlies are also coming off a loss. Memphis kept it close against the LA Clippers but eventually succumbed 128-119. The Grizzlies’ chance of making at least the play-in tournament looks dim but they are looking to be competitive.
The Knicks’ loss to the Mavericks was the first time they tasted defeat since acquiring former Toronto Raptors forward OG Anunoby. The defeat looked like a blip as Kyrie Irving had a monster night for Dallas. New York is playing well and is looking to convincingly beat the Grizzlies.

New York Knicks vs Memphis Grizzlies key matchups
Ja Morant vs any of New York’s defenders would have been a great matchup to see. Without Morant, there are still intriguing one-on-ones in the Knicks-Grizzlies game.
Jaren Jackson Jr. vs Julius Randle
The reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year versus Julius Randle is the best and most exciting matchup in the game. Both play power forward and will naturally be guarding each other.
Jaren Jackson led the league in blocks over the previous two seasons. He averaged a staggering 3.0 BPG last season but it’s now down to 1.8 BPG. Still, he is tough to score against which will make Randle work hard for his shot.
OG Anunoby vs the Grizzlies’ perimeter players
Anunoby guarding Ja Morant would have been a thriller. Without “G12,” the former Raptor will be a pain to deal with against anyone he is asked to defend.
